In Person or Online

I work in my dedicated, comfortable and discreet garden room at home in Esher, Surrey; welcoming clients both in person and online.

I am located about five minutes walk from Esher rail station. A parking space is available in my driveway.

HOW TO BEGIN

I am happy to offer a brief telephone chat (20 minutes, fee-free) if you would prefer to speak with me prior to booking your first 50-minute session (the traditional “therapeutic hour”)

SCHEDULE

We will usually begin with a schedule of one session per week, at the same time every week: such consistency allows us to develop our relationship and provide momentum in our work. However, should we decide together that more frequent sessions would be beneficial for you, or double sessions (1 hour and 40 minutes), this can be accommodated.

How long the process continues depends on you and your individual needs. You may wish to undertake psychotherapy for support with an immediate issue, such as a recent bereavement or relationship break-up. Whilst the latter examples might involve a short term process for some, for others they may bring underlying issues to the surface that they choose to continue exploring within the psychotherapeutic relationship long term. Many people choose to engage in therapy on an open-ended basis. Whether you are entering the process with an idea of it being short term or open-ended, we will review how the work is going periodically.

CONFIDENTIALITY

Your privacy and confidentiality are of the utmost importance. (The exception to maintaining confidentiality arises to protect you or others from serious harm including safeguarding commitments, and when legally required or authorised to disclose.)

I do share anonymised details of my client work in clinical supervision, in accordance with best practice, to ensure and enhance the quality of my work.

I store and manage your personal data in accordance with GDPR.
